29.04.2025 2nd Workshop "Developing Peer Education Initiatives" at UNSA

On 22 April 2025, at the Human Rights Center of the University of Sarajevo (UNSA), a second workshop was held as a part of the project “Living Peace Lab: Developing Peer Education Initiatives”, this time on the topic of intersectional discrimination. The project explores the key role of youth in understanding the causes of widespread violence in the community, and brought together students from various study programmes at UNSA motivated to design educational tools for the prevention of all forms of violence in society.
In accordance with the principles of the EUPeace Alliance, which emphasise the importance of connecting the academic community with other social stakeholders in order to achieve real progress in our environment, the said project was designed in cooperation with the non-governmental organisation "Cure" and the Agency for Gender Equality of Bosnia and Herzegovina. These two entities are also members of the Social Dialogue Group, which will soon be formally established at UNSA.
This event is the second in a series of five planned for the summer and winter semesters of the 2024/2025 academic year, which once again confirms the importance of educational programmes based on the interests and needs of youth. Such programmes encourage cooperation and creativity in constructive dialogue with the aim of overcoming conflicts and the culture of violence in society. The next workshop is scheduled for 13 May 2025.
