Living Peace Lab “All Aboard!” Sets Sail Towards More Inclusive Bilingual Education

Developed by Comillas Pontifical University within the EUPeace Living Peace Labs initiative, “All Aboard!” supports bilingual subject teachers in identifying and removing learning barriers, helping to foster more inclusive bilingual classrooms through co-creation and innovation.

On 11 June, Comillas Pontifical University held a meeting as part of the Living Peace Lab “All Aboard!”, developed within the EUPeace Living Peace Labs initiative. The project aims to support bilingual subject teachers in identifying and removing learning barriers, fostering the development of more inclusive bilingual classrooms.

Advancing a Co-Created Educational Solution

The meeting had a dual purpose. Firstly, it provided an opportunity to thank the teachers and representatives from regional education authorities who have accompanied the project since its early stages, sharing their expertise, knowledge and understanding of educational realities. Secondly, it marked the beginning of a new phase of development, during which their contributions will continue to be essential in ensuring that the tool being developed responds to the real needs of schools and teaching staff.

Gathering Feedback for Future Development

During the session, participants were presented with the progress achieved so far and invited to provide feedback on the tool’s prototype. The discussion created a valuable space for dialogue and exchange, generating insights that will contribute to the further development of a solution designed to offer personalised guidance, practical resources and support for educational decision-making.

The reflections shared during the meeting will help improve a tool that aims to support teachers in creating more inclusive, equitable and accessible learning environments for all students.

Co-Creation and Open Innovation in Practice

The meeting reflected the spirit of co-creation and open innovation that underpins the project. Teachers and educational authorities represent two essential actors within the project’s quadruple-helix approach, ensuring that the initiative is informed by both professional expertise and practical experience.

By bringing together different stakeholders, Comillas and its partners are creating opportunities for collaboration and shared learning while developing solutions that respond to real educational challenges.

Looking Ahead

The project team thanked all participants for their commitment, enthusiasm and trust. As the project enters this new stage, “All Aboard!” will continue working alongside teachers and educational authorities to develop a solution that supports more inclusive bilingual education and helps remove barriers to learning for all students.

With this new phase underway, “All Aboard!” has officially set sail.
