What are the “Student Challenges”?
The Student Challenges call empowers students to take meaningful action on key social issues within their university community. Through this initiative, students can:
- Identify challenges related to peace, justice, or inclusion on campus
- Mobilise their peers to brainstorm and co-create innovative solutions
- Develop a concrete action plan and implement it
- Share their impact with the wider community.
This call is a core initiative of the EUPeace Alliance, designed to engage students by collaborating with local organisations, student associations, and clubs. By providing additional resources, the initiative encourages the development of projects that embody the values of peace, justice, and inclusivity. We invite you to refer to the rules of the call for more details.
Whether you are part of a student club or an association, this is your chance to transform ideas into real change!

| UNILIM | Green Roots: A Day of Tree Planting for Campus Well-being and Unity | president@ace2mpl.com | The project consists in planting trees on the Medicine campus. By involving students in a concrete ecological action, the challenge is addressing a major societal issue: the preservation of biodiversity and the improvement of quality of life. |
| UNILIM | Biotechnologies and medicine of the future | associationembiolim87@gmail.com | This is an initiative aiming at raising awareness of scientific dishonesty. It takes the form of an event with lectures and a debate, open to a large audience ensuring that everyone can access scientific information in a clear and objective manner, without any idea of profit expectations |
| UNILIM | Meal basket distributions | subventions.humanilim@gmail.com | This is a Student Challenge awarded to support food aid on campus targeting students in precarious situations. The objective is to propose a diversified food basket to students every two weeks in exchange of a symbolic price (2 €) including also hygiene products, giving priority to local food and open to a larger number of beneficiaries. |
| UNICAL | SENSEational Experience | YBANNY98E01Z336P@studenti.unical.it | This project aims to raise awareness, promote empathy and foster inclusion, particularly toward individuals with disabilities. Through interactive, immersive activities, international students will explore the world without relying on their sight – stepping into someone else’s shoes. |
| COM | Model United Nations | clubeupeace@comillas.edu | The project points out the importance of diplomacy in promoting social and solidarity economy. It recreates United Nations meetings to encourage students to view diplomacy as a means of resolving conflicts. Each participant represents a country as an ambassador or takes on the role of historical figures in simulated crises, fostering empathy and an understanding of the complexity of international and national affairs. |
| SUM | Voice of Solidarity: Disability Awareness Education for Non-Helping Professions | salpsa.sum@gmail.com | Benefiting from the participation of the Office for Students with Disabilities of the University, six lectures were organised from May to July 2025 at three faculties of non-helping professions (Law, Engineering and Economics) and presentations gathered in a brochure. After each lecture, students completed an online survey to assess whether their attitudes have changed and whether the lectures influenced their future professional practice. |
| CU | Migration and Mobility Ideathon | eupeaceogrencikulubu@gmail.com | The project aims to show a different perspective on how migrant individuals can contribute to the local economy and social life, without being seen merely as recipients of aid. Solidarity-economy structures enable migrants to become co-producers of value, generate their own livelihoods and join in collective decision-making, viewing them as a source of economic and social innovation. |
| CU | Closing the Spring Term: Surprise Movies | eupeaceogrencikulubu@gmail.com | This project aims to promote students’ socialisation on campus and, as a result, strengthen inclusiveness. Two short movies were screened, followed by a discussion: Bon voyage (dilemma of western society to approach migrants) and Stalled (chosen from a mental health perspective). |
