International Students
Marburg University’s winter and summer semester starting dates vary from year to year, but the semester division corresponds to the following schedule:
Winter semester: 1. October – 31. March
Summer semester: 1. April – 30. September
Classes in the winter semester: appx. mid-October – mid-February
Classes in the summer semester: appx. mid-April – mid-July

Incoming non-degree students to Marburg University who participate in the Erasmus+ or Overseas programmes, apply for housing in their application workflow via Mobility Online. In addition, the Marburg University provides comprehensive information on the process of securing accommodation in central or surrounding areas.
For information on student dormitories, please visit the website of the Studierendenwerk. Student dormitory room prices range from €250-500, depending on location and size of the room or apartment.
Private accommodation can be, but is not always, higher in price, yet still constitutes a valid alternative to the limited dormitory space.

Please note! The course catalogue is typically published in early August for the winter semester and early March for the spring semester. We advice students to make their initial academic course choices based on the previous year’s course listings as the vast majority of classes/modules will be offered again.
