The members of the WP2 of the EUPeace Alliance are pleased to announce that the first edition of the Teaching Staff Academy will be held from 10-13 December 2024, online, combining 2 sub-events, the Training week from 10-11 December, and the Teaching Europe Conference, from 12-13 December.
In line with the EUPeace mission statement, the objective of this first edition of the Teaching Europe Conference is to develop joint and innovative teaching and learning experiences, to identify innovative teaching practices in all the partner universities, and bring our entire academic communities together to generate knowledge, competence and innovative approaches to fostering peace, justice, and inclusive societies.
Objectives:
- Share best practices, innovative methods to peers and students through the presentations
- Train peers and students to new methods or techniques through the workshops
- Share the values of the project with teachers, trainers and students of the Alliance Universities
- Bring together colleagues and students from various universities and training institutes in Europe
- Create a Europe wide network on innovative training methods and capacity building on inclusion and diversity
- Widen the cooperation to education/training programmes and offer the possibility to cooperate through national or European funding (Erasmus programme, etc.)
Topics for papers and workshops include (but not limited to):
- Innovative teaching approaches to inclusion and diversity in the class- and seminar room;
- Shared experiences: challenges and best practices in addressing and incorporating these themes.
Format:
- 20-minutes presentations and 20 minutes for Q&A
- Possible to reuse/adapt existing presentations
Target audience:
- 2 participants/partner, including teachers, lecturers and staff
- Members of the other EUPeace work packages, especially (but not limited to) WP3 and WP5
Who can apply:
- Contributors/Participants: UMR, UNICAL, UWB, JLU, UNILIM, COMILLAS, SUM, CU, UNSA, all associated and supporting partners
- Teachers – teacher-researchers and staff of the alliance members willing to share best practices on inclusion and diversity

- This first edition will be held online, but the following editions will be held in person
- Number of participants will be limited to 2 per institution
- Participants will receive a certificate of attendance

- Distribution of the trainings among the partners/representation
Selection Process:
The TSA Working Group will be selecting the proposals.
