EUPeace is the European University for Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies.
Our mission is to provide tomorrow’s citizens with the skills, knowledge, and experience to cultivate Peace, Justice, and Inclusive Societies. We explicitly address all sciences and fields, from the humanities and social sciences to the natural and life sciences as well as engineering, and are inspired by the rebuilt bridge of Mostar – the symbol in our logo – as a testament to how dialogue can overcome conflict.
EUPeace is comprised of 9 institutions coming together, embracing and fostering our unique geographic distribution and the implications these geographic roots bring to EUPeace: our institutions are located in regions with a lot of internal diversity and sometimes a still recent history of conflict.
We are Marburg University (Germany), Justus Liebig University Giessen (Germany), University of Limoges (France), University of Calabria (Italy), Comillas Pontifical University (Spain), University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Czechia), University of Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Çukurova University (Türkiye), University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina) as well as our associated partners in Europe and beyond.

My year with EUPeace is full of excitement, inspiration, rejuvenation, education, new challenges with a healthy dose of frustration! : ).

Being a member of EUPeace’s Governing Board has proven a great intercultural and human experience.

EUPeace, in this first year, has brought me an abundance of positive experiences as a participant, through meetings, work, innovations, and especially the sense of cohesion felt among the members of the Alliance. This Alliance offers countless opportunities for personal growth and development, as well as professional advancement. Therefore, I invite all young people within our Aliance to join us in building a university of peace, justice, and inclusive society.

Three reasons why you should also study here:
- City – Madrid is a stunning city with a wealth of opportunities and experiences for young people.
- Atmosphere – The teachers and fellow students are exceptionally friendly and supportive.
- Subjects – A diverse range of subjects is available, with a focus on practical learning rather than just exams. Additionally, SAPIENS courses are offered, which are recognized by many European schools.

Being part of EUPeace has been an incredible and eye-opening experience, where I have had the privilege of meeting truly inspiring individuals, gaining invaluable experiences, and witnessing how students’ voices are not only heard but actively shape the future of the EUPeace Alliance.

Participating in EUPeace has been an incredible experience. The Alliance brought together diverse perspectives, fostering innovation and meaningful dialogue. I’ve witnessed first-hand the power of collective action in addressing complex challenges, and the outcomes have been transformative. EUPeace is an adventure you can’t resist. With all its challenges, unknowns, familiarities… like an immense meadow, with lots of flowers, but also the occasional bush with thorns. EUPeace has become a part of our lives, not just professional ones, and it will remain so for a long time.

One of the things that impressed me the most about Marburg was that it is a university based city with a wonderful cultural structure. With its historical background and castles, every minute I felt like being in a Harry Potter movie. Also university’s wide range of facilities has a great impact on the development of the students who come here. My favorite part of Marburg University was the library; I can easily say it’s the largest and most beautiful library I’ve ever seen…This university is perfect for a student!
