The Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen is hosting the 20th anniversary edition of ArtCamp, an international summer school of art, taking place from 13 to 31 July 2026. Open to participants aged 15 and above, the programme welcomes art students, practising artists and anyone interested in creative disciplines. Courses are led by Czech and international artists and take place in the faculty’s modern facilities.
A wide range of courses and activities
ArtCamp offers one-week courses covering both traditional and contemporary techniques across art and design. Alongside teaching that emphasises practical, hands-on experience, participants can attend a programme of cultural events, exhibitions and artist talks, creating opportunities for exchange and discussion beyond the studio environment.
Strengthening international collaboration
The summer school also contributes to international collaboration within the EUPeace Alliance. One of this year’s courses is led by Dejan Slavuljica, an illustrator from the Academy of Fine Arts at the University of Sarajevo, a fellow member university. His participation builds on previous successful collaboration between partner institutions. The initiative explores possibilities for future cooperation in areas such as student mobility, exhibitions and joint projects.

By bringing participants to Pilsen, ArtCamp offers a first-hand experience of the city, the creative environment and the facilities of the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. The programme allows participants to combine a focused artistic experience with exploring the local context and considering further study or collaboration opportunities in the field of art and design.
ArtCamp is held with the financial support of the Statutory City of Pilsen.
