Erasmus+ Opens the Door to International Experiences: EUPeace Opportunities Highlighted at the University of Mostar Info Day

At the University of Mostar Info Day, the university celebrated ten years of successful implementation of the Erasmus+ programme with presentations on the topic of mobility and potential opportunities, in particular within the EUPeace alliance.

The traditional Info Day, organised each year by the University of Mostar’s International Relations Office, had special significance this year as it marked ten years of successful implementation of the Erasmus+ programme at the University of Mostar. Participants had the opportunity to learn about the application process, scholarship amounts, technical requirements, and the programme’s achievements to date, with particular emphasis placed on the importance of mobility for personal and professional development.

Erasmus+ Opens the Door to International Experiences

The rector’s assistant for International Relations, Prof. Sanja Bijakšić, PhD, welcomed the attendees and presented the Erasmus+ programme, highlighting the strategic importance of international cooperation for the University of Mostar.

“Over ten years of active participation in Erasmus+ programmes and numerous international projects, the University of Mostar has built a network of partnerships with 50 countries worldwide, across five continents, and with more than 200 higher education institutions. The University participates in 30 Erasmus+ projects and is a member of 19 international university networks, including the EUPeace alliance of nine European universities. This global openness not only enriches the academic community and enables the exchange of knowledge and experience, but also positions the University of Mostar as a respected and recognised institution on the international education scene, with impressive results in the development of student and staff mobility and visibility within global academic circles,” Prof. Bijakšić emphasised.

The head of the International Relations Office, Inja Stojkić, PhD, provided a detailed presentation of all the technical aspects of mobility, including application forms, deadlines, scholarship amounts, and current open calls. A special contribution to the Info Day was made through an online meeting with partners from Marburg University  in Germany.  Ann-Kathrin Zeitz, from the International Office, joined online to present opportunities for students and staff of the University of Mostar, particularly within the EUPeace alliance.
