The project will develop joint educational initiatives for learning about key characteristics of Open Science and (research) infrastructures.
For this, the project proposes a three-day in-person meeting of the EUPeace University Libraries and Open Science Groups, to be held at the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen, Czechia, in Spring 2026.
A first objective is to deepen international collaboration, share best practices, and develop joint initiatives that support the EUPeace strategic objectives related to knowledge sharing, reducing barriers to accessing research infrastructure, and open access. Through targeted group work, interactive discussions, and networking sessions, participants will identify common challenges and opportunities, fostering a more cohesive and synergistic approach to the University Libraries’ services and Open Science practices across the Alliance.
A second objective is the development of educational initiatives that align with EUPeace’s strategic goals and the needs of Research Hubs members, Doctoral Network members and the European Track. Next to the joint educational initiatives, the expected outcomes include the formulation of shared work plans, enhanced professional networks, and a roadmap for future collaborative projects.
The project will also build long-term partnerships, reinforcing the EUPeace Alliance’s mission to create a more open and equitable educational landscape across Europe.
