EUPeace launches Academic Mentoring Network with online kick-off event

The EUPeace Alliance will launch its Academic Mentoring Network on 11 May 2026 through an online event bringing together doctoral candidates, mentors and EUPeace community members. The session will introduce mentoring opportunities and enable direct exchange across the Alliance.

The EUPeace Alliance will officially launch its Academic Mentoring Network on Monday, 11 May 2026, with an online kick-off event from 18:00 to 19:30 (CET). The event brings together members of the EUPeace Doctoral Network, Research Hub representatives and mentoring experts introduce mentoring opportunities for doctoral candidates across the Alliance.

Connecting doctoral candidates and mentors

The event provides a platform for doctoral candidates to engage directly with potential mentors and gain insight into the range of mentoring activities available. Mentors will present their areas of expertise and the topics they offer within the mentoring framework.

Overview of mentoring opportunities

Participants will receive an introduction to the EUPeace Academic Mentoring Network and its role in supporting early-stage researchers. The session will outline how mentoring is embedded within the Alliance’s Research Hubs and Doctoral Network, and how it contributes to strengthening academic collaboration and career development across Europe.

Interactive exchange and participation

A dedicated question-and-answer session will allow doctoral candidates to ask questions, clarify expectations and explore suitable mentoring pathways. The event is designed to facilitate open exchange and to support participants in identifying relevant contacts and opportunities within the network.
