The EUPeace Alliance will officially launch its Academic Mentoring Network on Monday, 11 May 2026, with an online kick-off event from 18:00 to 19:30 (CET). The event brings together members of the EUPeace Doctoral Network, Research Hub representatives and mentoring experts introduce mentoring opportunities for doctoral candidates across the Alliance.
Connecting doctoral candidates and mentors
The event provides a platform for doctoral candidates to engage directly with potential mentors and gain insight into the range of mentoring activities available. Mentors will present their areas of expertise and the topics they offer within the mentoring framework.
Overview of mentoring opportunities
Participants will receive an introduction to the EUPeace Academic Mentoring Network and its role in supporting early-stage researchers. The session will outline how mentoring is embedded within the Alliance’s Research Hubs and Doctoral Network, and how it contributes to strengthening academic collaboration and career development across Europe.
Interactive exchange and participation
A dedicated question-and-answer session will allow doctoral candidates to ask questions, clarify expectations and explore suitable mentoring pathways. The event is designed to facilitate open exchange and to support participants in identifying relevant contacts and opportunities within the network.
Supporting academic development across the Alliance
The launch of the Academic Mentoring Network marks a step towards more structured support for doctoral candidates within EUPeace. By connecting researchers across institutions and disciplines, the initiative contributes to building a collaborative academic environment and enhancing access to mentoring and career development opportunities.
