Vindica – Comillas Pontifical University

Summary

VINDICA aims to develop proposals to prevent homelessness from becoming chronic by co-creating innovative, sustainable, and transferable solutions that can inform public policy. The project responds to the challenges people experiencing homelessness face in achieving social reintegration and accessing a stable, independent life, with many ultimately returning to homelessness.

The project’s main objective is to identify the needs of this population and propose concrete actions to improve support services, promote structural change, and foster dignity, autonomy, and social inclusion.

To achieve this, the project will bring together people with lived experience of homelessness, public and private sector organisations, and experts in public health and economics to design responses that reflect the complexity of homelessness.

As an outcome, VINDICA will produce intervention proposals and public policy recommendations aimed at preventing chronic homelessness, improving support models, and facilitating their adoption in other contexts.
