Elisabeth Schulte and Adnan Efendić coordinated the launch from the University of Sarajevo’s School of Economics and Business.
Exploring peace and justice through Navi Pillay’s work
This edition focuses on the life and work of Navi Pillay, examining how education, professional commitment, and the pursuit of human rights and justice can contribute to more peaceful and inclusive societies. Her experience provides a shared focus through which students can explore these questions from different disciplinary perspectives and relate them to the responsibilities of individuals and institutions.

Academic exchange in Sarajevo
Members of the teaching team also attended the ICES 2026, held on 15–16 October 2026. Organised by the University of Sarajevo’s School of Economics and Business under the theme ‘Rethinking Growth: Resilience, Purpose and Strategic Renewal’, the conference provided a forum for exchanging research across economics and business, including sustainability, innovation, and economic development.
