On 21 February 2023 the Rectors and Presidents and the respective Delegates of the EUPeace member universities convened online to lay the foundation for the permanent EUPeace Governing Bodies and to discuss upcoming events and activities to kick-start the network’s academic agenda. The recent earthquakes in Syria and Türkiye, directly affecting the EUPeace member Çukurova University, and how to support Çukurova during this hard time, was the most pressing issue on the agenda. With the resolution to provide in-kind as well as financial support, the Governing Board initiated immediate steps of action.
