The 6th International Staff Week at UWB, OTH & TUL
The University of West Bohemia in Pilsen (Pilsen, Czech Republic), in cooperation with OTH Amberg-Weiden (Germany) and Lodz University of Technology (Poland), is organizing its 6th International Staff Week: “Bridging Academia with Industry: Research, Internships, and AI in Practice.” The event is scheduled from April 20th to 24th, 2026, and includes two virtual components on March 27th and April 13th.
The Target Group
This event primarily targets academic and administrative staff, International Office (IRO) officers, and representatives responsible for technology transfer and industry cooperation. The program is designed for those looking to exchange best practices on how to connect university research with practical industrial applications. The maximum number of participants is limited to 30.
The Agenda
Participants will experience a unique cross-border program covering three campuses (Pilsen, Amberg, and Weiden). The week features presentations, workshops, and site visits focused on the following themes:

AI in Practice: Gaining insights into the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in the industrial sector.

Research & Innovation: Guided tours of two major research centres at UWB Pilsen and the Technology Transfer Centre (TTZ) in Neustadt an der Waldnaab.

Industry Collaboration: Exploring best practices for academia-industry partnerships and visiting two international companies based in Pilsen.

Internship Mobility: Discussions on improving research and industrial internship opportunities for students.
The program offers a balanced mix of professional exchange and cultural highlights, including city tours and a traditional Bavarian evening.
