The EUPeace Doctoral Training Week (DTW) is a five-day, in-person training event organised within WP6 (Research and Doctoral Training) of EUPeace. It will bring together doctoral candidates from all nine partner universities at the University of Limoges.
Designed as a high-level and structured programme, the DTW is aligned with the European Competence Framework for Researchers (ResearchComp). It combines academic excellence, transversal skills development and inter-university exchange, fostering collaboration and long-term impact across the Alliance.
Objectives
The Doctoral Training Week aims to strengthen transversal research competences, including communication, teamwork, project management, self-management, societal impact and open science, while enhancing doctoral candidates’ employability both within and beyond academia. It also fosters a shared European research culture and encourages interdisciplinary and international collaboration among participants.
Target Participants
Each partner university may select up to four doctoral candidates, ensuring balanced representation across the Research Hubs.
Programme Structure
The programme combines a range of interactive and participatory formats, including:
- Workshops linked to the European Competence Framework
- Keynote lectures by European and international experts
- Doctoral presentations (flash talks, posters, peer-learning formats)
- Networking sessions and institutional exchange moments
- Cultural and social activities in Limoges
Doctoral candidates will play an active role in the programme, contributing to a co-constructed learning experience.
