Keynote Speech on Digital Violence
In celebration of European Diversity Month, EUPeace will host a series of lectures and webinars in the month of May that focus on various topics of diversity issues.
The second session of our series will take place on 5 May 2026 to discuss the topic of “Digital Violence: Why and How?“. The event aims at exploring the causes, impacts, and ways to respond to violence in online environments.
Equality, diversity, and inclusion across digital platforms are at the heart of a fair digital future. How can we build safer and more inclusive digital spaces?
The keynote will be presented by Pınar İlkiz. She is a communication expert, a writer and an academic. Since 2012, she worked with numerous local NGOs and international organisations like UN Women, ILO, UNFPA. She has been providing training and consultancy to non-governmental organisations on digital tools, digital campaigning, advocacy, and digital violence, while also organising various workshops.
No registration required
The session takes place online, organised by Çukurova University. We welcome students and staff interested in diversity issues. Registration is not required. Participants can join the lecture via this link (TBD).
