Pilsner Daseinsanalysis ( Between Self and Environment: Artistic Practice in changing Urban Context

The proposed event is a multidisciplinary student-led exhibition and public opening program bringing together students from the departments of Painting, Sculpture, and Multimedia. The project culminates in a collective exhibition situated in an independent exhibition space, framed by the shared thematic focus Pilsner Daseinsanalysis — an exploration of how artistic subjectivity is shaped through lived experience within a specific urban and institutional environment.

The central moment of the project is the exhibition opening (vernissage), which functions not only as a formal introduction to the artworks, but as a performative and social event in its own right. The opening program is conceived as a time-based, collective situation combining projected works, live performance, short curatorial and artistic statements, light refreshments, and an artistic musical performance. Through this layered program, the exhibition space temporarily transforms into a shared experiential environment where artworks, artists, and audience coexist and interact.

Rather than presenting isolated artworks, the exhibition approaches student works as manifestations of artistic Dasein — expressions of being shaped simultaneously by personal perception, institutional context, and the West Bohemian urban environment. The displayed works across different media form a spatial and conceptual backdrop to the opening event, emphasizing continuity between the exhibition itself and the live program unfolding within it.

Following the opening, the exhibition remains accessible to the public for several days, allowing visitors who are unable to attend the vernissage to engage with the works and the themes at their own pace. In this way, the project combines an intensive communal moment with a longer period of quiet reflection, supporting both social exchange and individual encounter with contemporary student artistic practice.

To ensure accessibility for remote audiences, the main opening event will be live-streamed online, allowing participants to attend the vernissage program virtually. The stream will include the opening remarks, performative elements, projections, and the musical performance, providing remote viewers with real-time access to the core activities of the event.

In addition, the exhibition will be documented through photographic material, which will be made available online after the event, enabling broader access beyond the physical location.
