EUPeace at EAIE 2026: Alliance Joins “The Rhythm of Revolution” in Glasgow

EUPeace will be present at the 36th EAIE Annual Conference in Glasgow from 8 to 11 September 2026, joining 36 European University Alliances at Booth G51 to showcase transnational cooperation in higher education.

EUPeace will be present at the 36th Annual Conference and Exhibition of the European Association for International Education (EAIE), taking place in Glasgow, Scotland, from 8 to 11 September 2026. Visitors can find the Alliance at Booth G51, where the EUPeace team will be on hand to talk about the Alliance’s work and answer questions from across the international higher education community.

A Shared Stage for European University Alliances

EUPeace joins a total of 36 European University Alliances at this year’s conference, together representing more than 300 higher education institutions across Europe. Their presence reflects the continued growth of the European Universities Initiative, the European Commission’s flagship programme launched in 2019, which now brings together 65 Alliances and 8 Seal of Excellence Alliances working to deepen transnational cooperation in higher education, research and innovation.

This year’s conference theme, “The Rhythm of Revolution”, invites participants to question, collaborate and create lasting change — a vision that resonates closely with EUPeace’s own mission of pioneering new models of transnational education and institutional cooperation. As in previous years, the Alliances will showcase their initiatives and experiences through more than 40 sessions and networking events, reflecting a shared commitment to strengthening the European Higher Education Area through innovation, inclusion, mobility and strategic partnerships.

Sharing Experience Beyond the Alliances

As part of the conference programme, the FOREU4ALL Community of Practice — of which EUPeace is an active member — will host two joint sessions at the European Commission’s stand, together with the projects Future4Alliances and SPREAD EUI. These sessions are designed to share the experience of European University Alliances with higher education institutions not yet involved in the initiative, as well as with Erasmus+ National Agencies working to modernise national higher education systems.

  • Partnering for Change: What Can the Alliances and Erasmus+ National Agencies Do for You? — Wednesday, 9 September, 10:30–11:15, tailored to institutions not currently participating in the Alliances
  • Erasmus+ National Agencies and Alliances: Modernising National Higher Education Systems from Vision to Action — Wednesday, 9 September, 13:00–13:45, tailored to Erasmus+ National Agencies

Visitors attending EAIE 2026 are warmly invited to stop by Booth G51 to learn more about EUPeace and its work across nine partner universities.
