The EUPeace Comillas Student Club has been named Most Committed Student Association at the fourth Comillas Community Gala, held on 12 June 2026 at Comillas Pontifical University in Madrid. The award recognises the student-led club’s role in bringing the EUPeace alliance to life on campus and encouraging students to take part in it.
A bridge between Comillas students and EUPeace
The club was created to connect students at Comillas with the initiatives of the EUPeace Alliance. Through its activities, students take part in intercultural dialogue, debates on European and international affairs, and joint projects with peers across the alliance’s universities, all built around the shared values of peace, diversity, and equal opportunity.
Recognising student engagement
The Comillas Community Gala is the university’s annual event celebrating the people and associations that strengthen its community. In presenting the award, the university highlighted the members’ contribution to building “a more open and participatory university, committed to the challenges of today’s society”.

Accepting the award, the club’s members said
[t]he recognition encourages us to keep strengthening student participation and building bridges among young people committed to a more united, inclusive Europe oriented towards peace.
The club plans to keep widening the opportunities for Comillas students to engage with the EUPeace Alliance.
